How it works

Every coin has lore

Lore gives every coin a page. Holders fill it with posts and stories, and anyone can see who still holds.

Every coin has a page

Paste any Solana coin's mint and its page is already there: name and image from the coin's metadata, market cap, holders and every post made by its holders. Nobody has to claim it first.

A coin launched on Lore shows the description it launched with as its bio. A coin without one has no bio.

Launch a coin

Every Lore coin launches on pump.fun, paired with SOL. You add an image, a name and a ticker, and sign one transaction. The coin goes live on its bonding curve and its Lore page is ready right away, with your image as its first post.

  1. Add a dev buy if you want. It's in the same transaction as the launch, so nobody can buy before you.
  2. Creator fees go to Lore. The same transaction assigns 100% of the coin's pump.fun creator fees to Lore's GitHub account, github.com/launchonlore, and locks it: nobody can change it afterwards. 80% of it buys back $LORE and burns it, and 20% goes to Lore's treasury.

Creating the coin, assigning its fees and the dev buy happen in one transaction you sign once. Either all of it lands or none of it does.

When the bonding curve sells out (about 85 SOL raised), pump.fun moves the coin to PumpSwap automatically, and its creator fees keep going to Lore there.

Hold to post

  1. Connect your wallet. Phantom, Solflare or Backpack.
  2. Pick a photo and write a caption. One image (JPG, PNG, WebP or GIF, up to 8 MB; it's saved as a 1080 px JPEG) and up to 280 characters: letters, numbers, emojis and . , ! ? ' - only. No contract addresses or links.
  3. Sign in once. Your wallet signs a message proving it's yours: free, no transaction, and it lasts 30 days. Lore checks on-chain that you hold at least $5 of the coin each time you post.

Each wallet can post up to five times a day per coin.

Stories

Holders can add a story to any coin they hold: a photo with a line of text, shown under Burning now on the feed and on the coin's page for 24 hours.

  1. A story costs 0.05 SOL.
  2. 80% (0.04 SOL) buys back the coin and burns it, in the same transaction you sign. Every story shows how much it burned.
  3. 20% (0.01 SOL) goes to Lore.

Because the burn happens inside your own transaction, anyone can check it on-chain. A coin's page shows everything its stories have burned.

Holder badges

Every post shows how much of the supply its author held when they posted, and the coin's creator is marked Creator.

Buying

The Buy button on a page opens the coin on Jupiter. Lore never holds your coins and never asks to move them: it only reads your balance.

Moderation

Illegal content, explicit content and scams are removed. A coin's creator can't remove what its holders post, so a page belongs to its holders.

Everything else

Every fee, limit and address is in the Docs.

FAQ

Does posting cost anything?

Posts, likes and reposts are free: you sign in once with a message proving the wallet is yours, and nothing is sent on-chain. Stories cost 0.05 SOL, and most of that burns the coin.

Where does the story fee go?

0.04 SOL buys the coin back and burns what it bought, in the same transaction. 0.01 SOL goes to Lore. Nothing goes to the coin's creator or to other holders directly: the burn shrinks the supply for everyone who holds.

Which coins work?

Any coin on Solana, including Token-2022 coins and coins still on a bonding curve.

Can I post on a coin I sold?

No. You need to hold at least $5 of it at the moment you post. Your older posts stay up.

Is there a Lore token?

Yes: $LORE, contract address 64fpkSXSL289f139vzxWFArG2sjVNMLT79wDh8Udpump (its Lore page). 80% of Lore's revenue buys it back and burns it. Any other coin calling itself $LORE isn't ours.
